"Lights out and so are you"

Films: The Blackout (2009)

Alias: None

Type: Unknown, leaning on Evil

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil

Summary: Twas the night before Christmas, and all around the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. But a blackout came around, causing much irritation, little did anyone know, it'd be the calm before their annihilation...

History: Out of nowhere, a continent-wide blackout has just hit North America. A small Californian apartment building is about to be hit with the reason why. Bizarre, darkness-borne monsters are invading the place, and few will survive their rampage. It's all a manner of who stays alive longer...

Notable Kills: One impales a girl's face, and then opens the claw. Cue head mutilation.

Final Fate: Just when it seems that all of the monsters are taken care of, the survivors come out to find that monolith-like structures have begun to burst out of the Earth, presumably carrying more monsters. The invasion has only begun...

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Low budget CGI may let down these creatures at times, but it can hardly distract from how demonic and vile they look and act. If you see these razor-toothed, claw-tailed, spindly beings coming at you, you'd better run. Because if you do, you can at least join the rest of your kind as armies of these things start taking over. Then again, they do go down fairly easy, so whether we are truly screwed is up in the air.

Trivia: -This is the only directed film of Robert David Sanders, whose career seems to be mostly defined by editing gigs.

-We cannot think of anything else to say here. No really, we can't.

Even if you do, will it be worth it?

Is that a hickey? A really bad hickey?
I can't tell where it begins or...wait...

"Hurry up and fall! I'm actually hanging on for dear life!"
The face of a creature that hasn't seen the sun in so long.
"Wait, what am I looking at? I can't see for anything!"
